Matthew told me that there was something called the “Eco Coach” and that I could turn it on to earn eco stars. Call me crazy, but I like earning stars! So yesterday I pushed the little blue road button and my car’s voice asked for a command. I responded with “Eco Coach On”, she let me know that she had done so. (I really wish the command to do something could be “Make it so…” It would also be cool if the car had Captain Piccard’s voice, but then I suppose we couldn’t call her “Snowflake”. Besides that, it would be odd for her to have a boy voice with such a girly honk. So anyway, back to my original train of thought. I turned the eco coach on and this little grid came on showing my average MPG for each little run between stops. For a little while, on the flats, she had a smiley face, then I hit the hills. Her smiley face was replaced by a sad one. I told my husband that I couldn’t have it on, it made me sad to see her with a sad face. Furthermore, I found a forum that says it miscalculates MPG on a consistent basis. So since I know that I’m driving this car like a fragile piece of glass, I’m all good, and I have a smiley face!
