Oh goodness, I started my morning off great. Not the part about waking up at 4:45am…that’s become the time that my body has decided is “the” time to wake up, every day, holiday, vacation, or not. There is nothing I can do to sleep later, even staying up till very late, like 9:30 11:00, doesn’t seem to matter. The part about using the last raspberry chocolate truffle coffee wasn’t the great start either. No, the great start came by receiving a text from my big sister. She was letting me know that the package I mailed had arrived and I gave her permission to open it and start enjoying. The part that sent me into peals and squeals of laughter, the reason I was glad that I had just taken a potty break, the reason for tears rolling down my cheeks…”Ummmmm…I think I just ate an ornament!” And she had, she took a big bite of a cinnamon, applesauce, ornament. Her yearly dose of Elmer’s glue! I had put them in a plastic storage container, hoping to keep them safe from breakage, the one she tasted hadn’t been spared. Thankfully, the remainder of items arrived safely and there were real cookies to erase the taste of the ornaments! If my sister and I aren’t crying together, we are laughing and this morning was a treat because of the laughter! I love you Doris! Merry Christmas!
